Appearance: Youthful in appearance with bronze colored skin and mongol style mustache. He's been jokingly called "Sektors older brother" because they are similar in appearance. While on a mission, he dons the usual "Sub-zero Style" Lin Kuei uniform with a mask and it's dark orange in color.

Personality: Arrogant, chauvinistic, brilliant, and meticulous. The warrior known as Houjin can be a very difficult man to like. But all respect his abilities as a warrior and his knack of getting the job done. His prowess is near unequaled with the exception of Cyrax, Sektor, and Sub-Zero. He often comes across as condescending but won't hesitate to help out his clanmates in a pinch.

Weapons: Katana and throwing daggers. These weapons are often on fire doing extra damage when used in kombat.

Proficiencies: What he lacks in speed he more that makes up for in strength and resilience. Houjin is a defensive warrior, waiting for his opponent to attack and then counterattacking them with deadly accuracy. He can absorb tremendous punishment as well as dish it out. The longer a fight goes, the more it will benefit Houjin.

Magic/Special Abilities: Houjin like all Edenians are the mortal offspring of the gods, gifted with long life spans and encrediable power. Although he had fallen out've favor with Raiden once he joined the Lin Kuei, Huojin is still allied with the God of Fire of whom he shares the same name and magic abilities with. The Fire God bestows his great power to his avatar and has at times had his Edenian ally go on errands for him in other realms.

However, recently the Gods have cursed the elder Sub-Zero for allowing Amulet to fall back in Shinnoks hands. Now Houjin is faced with betraying Bi Han or displeasing the gods by staying in the Lin Kuei...

Strengths: The power over the element of fire. Extremely strong and hard to hurt.

Weaknesses: Slower combat style is sometimes a hindrance against faster kombatants. But Houjin can often outlast his enemies in a fight. He's also an ass who like to taunt, leaving himself open to a counterattack. His overconfidence can be his downfall.
